Online Registration is now open (Jan 20)

The Star island Blue Book, the general prospectus for all conferences, is out.

Rebecca, Irene and Tim Flint Your chairs this year are Irene & Tim Flint. 57 Audubon Road, Wellesley, MA 02481, 781-235-0059.

The conference is early this year - it includes the 4th July.

A week on Star gives us time for spiritual, physical, and intellectual fulfillment as we meet new people, rediscover a simpler way of life, and learn how to carry a bit of Star with us for the rest of the year. Adults may attend the morning lecture series as well as afternoon "Talks on the Rocks".

Children (infants through eighteen) experience a daily program that includes art, music, and nature. We sing, laugh, and worship, play volleyball, tennis, and softball, and participate in unique Star Island traditions including polar bearing, Chanticleering, the Great People Hunt, candlelight services, and Dictionary. There is always time to rest, relax, and reconnect with family, old friends, and the beauty of the island. Join us.

Speakers
Jim and Nancy Our speakers for the week, Jim and Nancy McLaren, will challenge us to explore and understand our human potential through the prisms of science and literature.
Theme: Exploring Our Potential
Among the joys of science is discovering the laws of nature, yet scientists remain intrigued by all they do not understand, most notably in the realm of the human brain and behavior. Similarly, good literature entices readers to explore the ambiguities, complexities, and nuances of real-life situations. With our speakers, Jim and Nancy McLaren, we will discover how blending the yin of literature and yang of science can help us understand our biological selves and achieve our greatest potential. Nancy is a curriculum developer at Boston University and Jim heads the Science Department at Newton South High School.
Minister of the Week
Rev. Nancy Palmer JonesRev. Nancy Palmer Jones, of Arlington, MA, will be our minister.
